Date #3: I’m Horny…

GHIT Yer Mind Out of the gutter! 😊 This was the Facebook event title for my 3rd date, which was a paint night. The subject we were painting was a “horny” cow skull. I considered a lot of other events, but a quiet paint night sounded like something that would be good following my first 2 crazy dates AND the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo .

This event made me a little ick ridden because paint nights are usually reserved as date night type things, or girls’ night out type events. I had some sad/lonely this week with a hint of drama and I’m also not terribly artistic and a tiny bit OCD. 😁 I knew I would likely be the only solo person there, and wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about that until I got there.

This night was just what the doctor ordered. It was definitely a date night/girls’ night out crowd, but I felt folded right in. We were all trying so hard to keep up with the paint instructions, laughing with each other about our personal “techniques”, and enjoying our cocktails. The instructor was so warm, fun and welcoming. I also very much loved her name…Karina. 😊 I was able to just relax and focus on painting my crazy cow head and nothing else. It was perfect and allowed me to unwind from any stress I was feeling from the week.

Here is my “masterpiece”:

I had a great time painting with everyone. This date made me feel like I’m already starting to feel more comfortable and confident about going out in the world to do things on my own. It took me no time to feel like I was part of this paint group, just out to have a great time. I think I made a friend or 2 and got some ideas for future date adventures. Thank you Paint Crew! 3 Down 47 to Go! 😁
